Restore the Streets - Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

"And the Lord will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places,
and give strength to your bones;
and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the age-old foundations; and you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell."
- Isaiah 58:11-12

As I woke up yesterday morning, I wasn't sure what I had gotten myself into. Organizing a tent-revival for thebody of Christin Dallas seemed daunting. The timeframe was getting smaller. In a meeting with fellow committeemembers, I conveyed I had become depleted and "scorched." Or in today's terms - I was burned out.

But thankfully, the Lord guided my steps and satisfied my longings for restoration quickly. In fact, Hepoured His presence upon me without hesitation that very morning. Immediately, I felt strengthened and renewed. How? Through two thingsI am reminded to remain constant in.. the disciplines of prayer and reading Scripture.This might sound obvious, yet when I did both of these things,I felt ready and renewed for the day.

After a time of prayer with fellow believers, a ladypainted a beautiful image of revival in this city when sheread from Isaiah. It articulated myheart's cry, as I desire...

- For individuals to rebuildthe "ancient ruins"
- For people to "raise up the age-old foundations"
-For men and women to be "repairer(s) of the breach," &
-For each one of us to be"restorer(s) of the streets in which (we) dwell."

Can I get an amen? Let us pray that as believers in Jesus Christ, we will each rise up to the occasion andexperiencea time oftransformationforour city of Dallas!

" We cannot organize revival, but we can set our sails to catch the wind from Heaven when God chooses to blow upon His people once again."
