the definition of revival in Dallas

The body of Christ in Dallas has become so comfortable and so secure in itself that it has been unwittingly plunged into a daily struggle with the figuratively deadly issue of complacency. A revival is needed so that each Christian will come to know and experience the Lord in a new and refreshing way and on a daily basis. Lord willing, this awakening will be accomplished by following the guidance of the Word of God and relying on the Holy Spirit. Unlike any awakening of the past, restoration for the body of Christ in Dallas will not be exclusive to just one area. On the contrary, this revival will be inclusive of all Christians, from small churches that dot the countryside to large denominations of the inner city. When we come together, in collective and committed prayer, we need to believe the Holy Spirit will sweep across this city and awaken the entire body of Christ and cause non-believers to turn to Him. This revival can happen, but only with a concentrated effort put forth by the " church" in Dallas. It will not happen on any pre-determined timeline no matter how much we desire it. We are obligated to understand revival as it relates to Christianity in America, not through a definition in a dictionary, but through these six essential elements : ii

1. Revival is a sovereign act of God.
2. Revival is a divine visitation.
3. Revival is a time of personal humiliation, forgiveness, and restoration in the Holy Spirit.
4. Revival has fearless preaching under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
5. Revival has the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit.
6. Revival has changed communities and nations.

" Revival is not the discovery of some new truth. It’s the rediscovery of the grand old truth of God’s power in and through the Cross." i

- Sammy Tippit
  " Therefore, brethren, since  we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

LET US draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
LET US hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
and LET US consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near."

~ Hebrews 10:19-25 ~
